President Siobhan Richards

President: Siobhan Richards

Siobhan Richards is the President of the URI PRSSA Chapter. Prior to becoming President, Richards served as the Secretary and Director of Events, as well as Historian. In addition to President this year she will be serving as a District Ambassador for the entire Northeast District of PRSSA. Richards is a junior majoring in Public Relations, Journalism, and Sports Media. Outside of PRSSA, she is the Sports Writer/Public Relations Assistant for Campus Recreation Club Sports, as well as a photographer at the Five Cent Cigar. This year she spent her time in virtual externship programs at FOX Sports, and Fenway Sports Marketing. Richards combines her passions for sports, journalism, and public relations into her work and is so excited to bring that passion to PRSSA.

Vice President Maggie Strollo

Vice President: Maggie Strollo

Maggie Strollo is the Vice President of the URI PRSSA Chapter. This is her second term in the position and is excited to be back on the executive board. This will be her third year involved with URI PRSSA. Strollo runs the Chapter Development Committee Meetings and is responsible for general meeting programming. Strollo is a senior and a triple major in Public Relations, Communications and English. This past spring she was interning as a social media intern for the Domestic Violence Resource Center of South County. There she helped create graphics to post on their Instagram, and helped plan events for the DVRCSC. Additionally, fall she interned at Raskin Resources as a Media Communications Intern. She is so excited to continue her growth and knowledge in the PR and Communications Industry.

Treasurer Juli Liebert

Treasurer: Juli Liebert

Juli Liebert is the Treasurer of the URI PRSSA Chapter. She is a junior Public Relations and Spanish double major and has been a PRSSA member since her freshman year. She began working as our treasurer this past spring semester and can’t wait to see all the exciting things in our chapter’s future. Outside of PRSSA, she is also a member of Chi Omega. Liebert also started a marketing internship this year with URI’s Cooperative Extension where she assists with their social media, graphic design, and event planning. Liebert hopes we will see many new faces in our meetings this year who can take advantage of the amazing networking and career building opportunities we offer.

Director of Communication Allison Vickery

Director of Communications: Allison Vickery

Allison Vickery is the Director of Communications of the URI PRSSA Chapter. She is a junior double major in Public Relations and Textile Marketing, and this is her first year on the executive board of PRSSA. She runs the Marketing Committee and is responsible for overseeing all of the social media content and email communications. Vickery holds leadership positions outside of PRSSA, including Vice President of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists. She previously had an internship as a Marketing Intern for Blakely Interior Design this past fall. Vickery plans on combining all of these positions to grow professionally and cannot wait for this year with PRSSA.

Director of Events Cat Kalogeros

Director of Events: Cat Kalogeros

Cat Kalogeros is the Director of Events of the URI PRSSA Chapter. This is her first term on the executive board and her second year as a PRSSA member. She is a double major in Communications and Public Relations with a minor in English. Kalogeros loves being a part of the Harrington School; PRSSA really helped her find her path within the realms of both Communications and Public Relations. She runs the Event Committee Meetings and looks forward to bringing her ideas and knowledge to the executive board. Kalogeros hopes to be able to inspire future public relations students the way the previous executive board inspired and encouraged her to take leadership positions and pursue experience in the field.

Professional Advisor: Steve Zenofsky

Steve Zenofsky, APR, Fellow PRSA, serves as the Professional Advisor for the URI Chapter of PRSSA. With nearly three decades of experience in the corporate, non-profit and healthcare sectors, Steve Zenofsky, APR, Fellow PRSA, is assistant vice president, public relations for FM Global, one of the world’s largest business property insurers. Zenofsky joined the $6 billion multinational firm in 1997 and is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the development and execution of integrated public relations initiatives in North America and beyond.

He has been featured in PRWeek magazine, is the recipient of a ‘Best Global PR Campaign Award’ from PR News, a PRWeek award finalist for ‘Global Campaign of the Year’ and a winner of Bronze Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). He also is a sought-after speaker at conferences and universities.

Zenofsky has served in numerous senior leadership roles with PRSA nationally and is past chair of the Corporate Communications Professional Interest Section and former member of the Educational Affairs Committee. He helped form the University of Rhode Island’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) Chapter and continues to serve as the professional advisor. Zenofsky also serves on the national public relations and communications committee for the Boy Scouts of America and is an active Scouter.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, R.I., USA, is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) and was elected in 2012 to PRSA’s prestigious College of Fellows, one of the highest honors bestowed by the organization.
